Aging Expert to Join Nuritas Team

Muscle atrophy or loss of muscle mass through advancing age (known as sarcopenia) is a major public health issue and unmet medical need which results in decreased quality of life, as well as loss of physical independence and mortality – especially in the elderly.

 

To help address this issue, Nuritas is proud to welcome Dr Robert Radford to the team. Dr Radford joins us from the prestigious Salk Institute for Biological Studies after receiving a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship to help guide the discovery and development of bioactive peptide treatments for muscle atrophy.

 

By leveraging Dr Radford’s skills and Nuritas’ expertise in machine learning, data analytics, cutting edge molecular biology, genomics, chemistry and proteomics, we will be working together to develop effective therapeutic strategies to treat muscle wasting disease.
