Scientist – Proteomics

Job Description

Applications are invited from candidates that have obtained a BA, MSc or PhD and have a background in biochemistry. The successful candidate will be working with a team producing, purifying and characterising bioactive peptides. Knowledge of Mass Spectrometry and HPLC is extremely beneficial.

• Experience in purification techniques
• Experience in LC-MS/MS
• Good understanding of molecular pathways
• Literature search
• SOP generation
• Maintaining stocks of general consumables
• Maintaining lab, equipment and facilities

Qualificaitons

BA, MSc or PhD is required with a background in biochemistry. Knowledge of Mass Spectrometry and HPLC is extremely beneficial.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal are required
• Collate and critique Mass Spectrometry data and present assessed data to management and fellow Scientists on a regular basis
• Ability to communicate with experimental biologists, computer scientists and non-scientists
